AXLE, CV JOINT AND DRIVESHAFT REPAIR
The parts that turn power into motion
Everything between your transmission and your wheels lives a hard life — constant rotation, road heat, and in Phoenix, grit that finds every torn boot. Caught early, a split CV boot is a small job. Caught late, it is a whole axle.
We inspect the boots, joints, shafts and U-joints on a lift and show you what we found. If a joint is still tight, we tell you that too.
-
Clicking diagnosed properly
We confirm which joint is worn before quoting a repair. -
Boots checked at every visit
A boot replaced early saves the whole axle. -
Driveshaft service
U-joints, center bearings and vibration diagnosis. -
Road-tested after every repair
We confirm the noise and the vibration are actually gone.
WHEN TO COME IN
Signs of a worn axle or CV joint
Drivetrain noises are easy to live with and expensive to ignore. Any of these is worth a free inspection.
◑
Clicking when you turn
The classic worn outer CV joint. It gets louder over time and eventually lets go.
◉
Grease on the inside of a wheel
A split CV boot has thrown its grease, which means dirt is now getting into the joint.
◍
Vibration that grows with speed
Often driveshaft balance, a worn U-joint or a bent shaft.
◎
Clunk as you pull away
Play in a U-joint, a CV joint or the differential. Worth measuring before it wears further.
◐
Shudder under acceleration
Usually a binding inner CV joint or a worn center support bearing.
◈
Humming that changes when you steer
More often a wheel bearing than an axle — we test both before quoting.

QUESTIONS WE GET EVERY WEEK
Axle and CV joint FAQ
Can a torn CV boot just be replaced?
If it is caught before dirt gets into the joint, yes — and it costs far less than an axle. Once the joint is contaminated and clicking, the axle needs replacing.
Is it safe to drive with a clicking CV joint?
For a short while, at low speed. A joint that fails completely can leave you without drive, so it is not worth putting off.
How long does axle replacement take?
Most vehicles are same-day once the part is in hand.
Why does my car vibrate only at highway speed?
That pattern usually points at driveshaft balance or a U-joint, though tires and wheel bearings can do it too. We test in order rather than guessing.
Do both axles need replacing at the same time?
Only if both are worn. We check each side and tell you what we actually find.
Is the repair warrantied?
Yes — 24 months or 24,000 miles on parts and labor, whichever comes first.
