ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS
Intermittent faults are found, not guessed
Electrical problems are where parts get thrown at cars. A no-start can be a battery, a cable, a ground, a relay, an immobiliser or a module — and only one of those is fixed by a new battery.
We trace the circuit with a meter and a wiring diagram, find where the voltage disappears, and repair that. It takes longer to diagnose and far less to fix.
-
Charging system tested properly
Battery, alternator, cables and grounds, not just the battery. -
Parasitic draw testing
For the battery that is flat every Monday morning. -
Circuit-level diagnosis
Wiring diagrams and a meter instead of guesswork. -
Module and sensor programming
Where the repair actually requires it.
WHEN TO COME IN
Signs of an electrical fault
Heat ages insulation, batteries and connectors faster here than almost anywhere else.
◑
Dead after sitting a few days
Either a parasitic draw keeping something awake, or a battery that no longer holds charge.
◉
Dim or flickering lights
Charging output, or a poor ground connection somewhere in the circuit.
◍
Battery light on while driving
Alternator, belt or voltage regulator. We test all three rather than assuming.
◎
Slow crank when starting
Battery, cables, starter, or a voltage drop somewhere in between.
◐
Faults that come and go
Usually a connector, a ground or a chafed wire. Found by testing, not by replacing.
◈
Several warning lights at once
Often one shared circuit or module rather than several separate faults.

QUESTIONS WE GET EVERY WEEK
Auto electrical FAQ
My battery keeps going flat — is it the battery?
Sometimes. Just as often it is something staying awake after you lock the car. We measure the draw and find which circuit is responsible.
Why does an electrical diagnosis take so long?
Because finding an intermittent fault is the actual work; the repair itself is often a connector or a ground. We quote the diagnostic time up front so there are no surprises.
Do you program keys and modules?
We handle the programming and relearn procedures that repairs require. Tell us your vehicle when you book and we will confirm what we can do.
Can heat cause electrical faults?
Yes. Phoenix heat ages insulation, batteries and connectors much faster than a mild climate does.
Will a new alternator fix dim lights?
Only if the alternator is the fault. A poor ground produces the same symptom and costs far less to repair.
Is the work warrantied?
Yes — 24 months or 24,000 miles on parts and labor, whichever comes first.
